My vote would be for the Rubicon.

Rich Stockton already has a run scheduled for the Rubicon for Sept. 5 to Sept. 8 2016. (Labor day is Sept. 5)

I am confused why most people voted for Arizona but all the comments are for the Rubicon trail? Which is it?

I did not bother to look at the date of this original post prior to my earlier reply.

This post was put up originally in March of... wait for it... 2014.

The 2014 Labor Day trip was actually going to be in Walden, but was cancelled. You Janet, Ann and I ended up doing this run ourselves in 2015.

The 2015 Labor Day trip was led by Galen and was a several day camping trip to buffalo creek.

There were conversations back in 2014 about doing something in Arizona. I know Vic and Richard Dillon go most every year to the Chili Challenge which is down in that neck of the woods. But there has been no real organized effort to get a big Labor day trip planned since the Rubicon in 2013, and the Black Hills in 2012. It takes alot of work on someones part to set up a weeklong trip to another state for 6-12 rigs worth of folks. We have the Rubicon coming up for labor day of 2016, and as we have been to South Dakota (Black Hills), Utah (Moab 1-3x per year), Nevada/California (Mohave, Death Valley) Utah/California (Rubicon x2), and Arizona (North Rim of the Grand Canyon) maybe a trip down to Southern Arizona could work out. Vic or Richard would likely need to lead it though, or we could just get everyone to go to that Chili Challenge thing down that way.
