Sunday @ Redcone

A Patrol of the Mile Hi Jeep Club

We met @ the gas station in the middle of Bailey on sunday to my suprise Pat Underwood and Gary Gerulat were there to join us on this run.I guess if i would have looked @ the sign up list I would have seen that thay had signed up to go.So there we were,4 rigs gased up and ready to go. I was some what disapointed in this run the trail was not as difficult as discribed in any book,Allthough very steep in places it lacked in good obsticals,it,s like someone plowed it and removed the cool stuff and left the view.Doug noted that the last time he ran this it was wet and more difficult. And I do have to mention the view @ the top of Red cone is amazing well worth the Sunday drive to the top.@ the bottom of Red cone I pulled off and left the group to go on with out me.They were headed to radical hill and I was not feeling my best after a night of dancing and socializing with my old class mates.I headed down webster pass to go home.Hopefully one of them will write a report on how that trail was.So to make a short story long.Red cone was nice the view even better and I would do it again. Some trails are not about where you are but who you are with and Doug,Pat and Gary made this worth doing,Thanks for your company.Gene...
